Join the Movement. Support Local Youth.
September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month—and we need your help.
This fall, we’re inviting businesses across St. Thomas and Elgin County to Turn the Town Teal in support of youth mentorship. By decorating your storefront, office, or workplace teal, you’ll help raise awareness about the urgent need for volunteer mentors in our community.
Right now, more than 60 local kids are waiting for a mentor—many for over two years. Without that life-changing connection, some may age out of our programs without ever having the chance to experience the positive guidance and encouragement that mentorship provides.
Your business can make a visible, powerful difference. Together, let’s show what happens when our community comes together—and light up our streets in teal!
How Your Business Can Help
-
Decorate in teal: Use your storefront, lobby, lunchroom, or workspace to show your support throughout September.
-
Free décor kit provided: We’ll supply teal streamers, balloons, posters, and pamphlets—and you can personalize your display any way you’d like.
-
Join the movement city-wide: Your teal display will match Jumbo the Elephant, lit up in teal all month, and the BBBS flag flying above city hall.
-
No cost, no obligation: Just a powerful way to show support for local kids and mentorship.
-
Recognition for your support: Participating businesses will be promoted on our social media channels and website as proud community partners.
