Thank you for everyone involved in the 6th Annual Big Ball Drop!
$11570 was raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin!!
2314 balls were dropped from a crane positioned 110 feet in the air supplied by Yarmouth Group at Pleasant Valley Trout Farm on Saturday, September 19th, 2020. 7 balls landed in the hole and had to be taken back up to be dropped again. The $2,000 cash prize winning ball #927 was held by Brenda Schweetzer. An additional draw for the $1500 Visa card was won by Grayden Laing of Establish Media in St. Thomas. The final draw for a 50th Anniversary prize pack valued at $500 was Mona Blain from Queensline Automotive in Rodney.
We want to extend a special thanks to all the businesses that hosted tickets for this important fundraiser. The top 3 businesses all sold over 100 tickets each but the top selling business was Mugford Shoes and Clothing in St. Thomas. Mugford’s will receive a radio prize pack from MyFM 94.1 valued at over $700.
A special thank you to our supporting sponsors. Our events, to raise important dollars for mentoring programs for at-risk youth, are made possible because of the backing of community minded businesses like Advance Stainless, Wendy’s Restaurants, Roy Inch & Sons, and MyFM 94.1.
