This is a typical conversation I have had many times with our wait list youth.
Youth: “Do you have a big brother/sister for me?”
Me: “No, I’m sorry I don’t. ”
Youth: “What’s taking so long?”
Me: “We need volunteers.”
Youth: “Why don’t people want to volunteer?”
Me: “I don’t know.”
